Join us by invitation for engaging, challenging, and inspiring discussions at this key moment in Chicago's history.

Envisioning a City of the Future

On Tuesday, February 1, the University of Chicago's Future of the City Symposium will bring together leaders from Chicago and beyond to examine the performance and possibilities of one of America's largest urban centers.

The symposium begins with a special address by Mayor Richard M. Daley, Chicago's longest-serving chief executive. The day's schedule of events also includes presentations and discussions led by internationally recognized urban planners, researchers, and thinkers.

Together, the day's sessions will present leading-edge thinking on economic priorities, education, quality of life and cultural considerations, raising important questions for the next generation of public and private leadership in Chicago and all large cities.

The symposium is organized jointly by the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy Studies and its Office of Civic Engagement. For more information, contact us. If you plan to join us at the symposium, you can reserve your seat today.
